The average person spends 26 years of their life sleeping, but most of us are still tired, all the time. The reality is, sleep is not a priority for most of us and even though we’re getting sleep, it might not be the type of sleep you need. Dr Tim Sharp, Dr Happy, introduces you to 10 simple daily habits to get better-quality sleep so you can achieve a happier and healthier life.

Dr Tim Sharp is a clinical and consulting psychologist with three degrees in psychology and a distinguished career over several decades. He’s Australia’s very own 'Dr Happy' and the founder of The Happiness Institute.

Good basics and plenty more

Yes, this does cover many of the basic problems that can undermine our attempts at sleep - but, as many of us make these errors, it's good to have them listed and explained clearly so we can see what we need to do to change our sleep habits for the better. Episode 8 is particularly good regarding anxiety and 'unhelpful' mindsets and thought processes...

Disappointing

I gave up after 3 chapters. Was hoping for real
Insights that could be used. This was more like stating the obvious. Don’t waste your time.

Poor

I'd buy into this more if Voice acters weren't used as sopposed real experiences!
Makes me question it all!

@jamie moore

this message is for the Jamie Moore review. you are clearly someone who wants to get the results without the work and that isn't the fault of the book or the author/narrator.

"Dr Happy" more like Dr Condescending

What an annoying, whiney, patronising git. I'm up to ep 3 and it's like clickbait in audiobook form. He spends 15 minutes rehashing over the same message.

"if you want to sleep better, make it a priority. You should make sleep a priority if you want to sleep better..."

A load of old tripe.

Lots of talking, little said

After listening to episode 2 I figured the guy has got little to say, but wants to spread it out as much as possible. It's a real self help cliché.
I still got about 5 episodes in before I quit.
The points being made are so general you've probably already thought of them. Then they get repeated and rephrased until the episode is over. The only time he specifically directs you to something it's his social media.

Repetitive and pointless

The entire series is like one long introduction... telling you over and over again that the listener must be interested in sleep and we wouldn't be listening if we weren't, so we should probably get some sleep, because sleep is important.

Re-read that sentence over and over again for the next couple of hours.

If you enjoyed that, download this podcast.
