Acca è un bambino di 10 anni, molto intelligente e con grande senso dell’umorismo, ed è la spiritosa voce narrante di questa storia, una storia diversamente gialla.
Il rapporto con suo padre è inesistente, ma con Marta, la sua mamma, vive in tenera simbiosi: lei è l’unica persona con cui riesce a comunicare, attraverso un linguaggio che trova gesti e parole nell’empatia che li unisce.
Perché Acca è cieco, muto e gravemente disabile, e Marta gli dedica ogni momento della sua vita.
La routine quotidiana, densa d’amore e altrettanto complessa, si interrompe improvvisamente quando Teresa, la sua babysitter, viene barbaramente uccisa. Tutta la famiglia si ritrova coinvolta nelle indagini e Acca stesso diventa per l’ispettore Ferrara un prezioso quanto difficile testimone, depositario di un segreto che non è in grado di raccontare se non attraverso sua madre. Un segreto che farà di entrambi il bersaglio dell’assassino.
Tra leggerezza e suspense, tenerezza e colpi di scena il delitto troverà il suo colpevole ma niente sarà più come prima, né per Acca, né per Marta. Un ciclo si chiuderà, se ne aprirà un altro.
