Perfect Gift for Girls!
Wow -- what a wonderful audiobook! As I listened I was shocked at how many times the author described things that had actually happened to me. Like not raising my hand in class, for fear of being wrong and getting laughed at. And the many times I made myself "little' so as not to be the object of the mean girls all through school.
I wish I had had this book growing up. In the 1950s, I think every house was dysfunctional. If your mom stayed home, you felt spied upon whenever you were inside the home. If she worked, you felt marginalized, as if you were just a burden who bothered her.
This book is amazing as it addresses the hundreds of times girls and women weigh their worth.
No more will we allow ourselves to be ignored. Our ideas are valid. Our plans are reasonable and logical. Often, girls and women are almost paralyzed with fear, having had their suggestions disregarded at every move.
I have four granddaughters and intend to gift them all this audiobook when their birthdays come around this year.
It is well worth listening to - over and over!

A great guide!
This book is a friendly guide that feels like it really understands me. It covers everything from confidence and body image to social pressure. I liked the real-life stories and the hands-on activities. The message I got is that self-esteem is something you can work on and build. It’s perfect for all teen girls who need a reminder that they’re enough, just as they are. I think it's a great book to share with all young girls!

Uplifting, Honest
I loved the real stories and journal prompts, and I wish I had had this kind of guide growing up. It’s real, empowering, and easy to connect with. The advice on self-worth, body positivity, and handling social pressure is super valuable. I’m definitely recommending it to the young women in my life. It’s like a warm, encouraging pep talk in book form.

A Powerful Tool for Teen Girls
It’s a tough word when you’re in Middle and High School-especially if you’re a teen girl. Between the socials, the influence of friends and negative messaging on TV, print, and the internet, confusion reigns. That’s why this audiobook is so powerful: it gives a teen girl the tools she needs to make sense of it all. From dealing with peer pressure and bullying to handling social media comparisons and negativity, the author delves deeply into these situations and more. Plus each chapter comes with exercises that help the listener practice what they’ve heard so they can put them into practice effectively. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Gave Me A Confidence Boost I Needed
I used to second-guess everything about myself, how I looked, what I said, even who my friends were. This felt like advice from an older sister who actually gets it. It didn’t try to be perfect or cheesy, just real talk and exercises that helped me feel more okay with being me. I started noticing the way I talk to myself changing (in a good way). If you’re struggling with confidence or just want to feel better in your own skin, this really helped.

Gave Me a Boost When I Needed It
I played this on a walk after a rough day and it honestly lifted my mood. The tone was super friendly like getting advice from an older sister who’s been through it. It touched on stuff like body image and self-talk without making it feel too heavy. The voice was upbeat and clear which helped me stay focused. A few things felt a little simple but sometimes that’s what you need to hear. It reminded me that I’m doing better than I think and that little steps really do count.
