About this listen

THE FIRST BODY IS A MYSTERY.
She's young. She's beautiful. And her corpse, laid out in the office of Boston medical examiner Cat Novak, betrays no secrets - except for a notebook clutched in one stiff hand, seven numbers scrawled inside.

THE NEXT BODY IS A WARNING.
When a second victim is discovered, Cat begins to fear that a serial killer is stalking the city streets: a shadowy madman without mercy or apparent motive. The police are sceptical. The mayor won't listen. And Cat's chief suspect is one of the city's most prominent citizens.

THE FINAL BODY...MIGHT BE HERS.
With the death toll rising, Cat races to expose a deadly conspiracy and the brutal killer at its heart - a killer who will stalk her from the dangerous streets of the inner city to the corridors of power. Because he's closer than she ever dreamt. And every move she makes could be her very last.

crime mystery not so medical

Another great story only when started listening realised had previously read this book, enjoyed listening as although i can't read a book twice it was lovely to hear story develop i had forgot some of story anyway.
sometimes i find i know where the author is going the more books I read. by them .love how not just focused on just one type of thriller.

AN INTERESTING THRILLER

I love Tess Gerritsen's books and listening to her first book, the promise of her future writing comes through strongly. There is the suspense, the humor, the romance.

I enjoyed this book and at the end of the book it got so intense that I did not want to interrupt my listening for anything!

Listening to the interview with her at the end was very interesting indeed.

Overall I would recommend it to all the Tess Gerritsen's fans out there and if you are not a fan yet, this book is a must!!

Not as good as Tess’s later thrillers

This is Tess Gerritsen’s first novel moving from romance to crime thrillers and combines a bit of both.
A few holes in the story but this may have been down to the author updating the original novel. A good narrator and on the whole held my attention to the end but personally I prefer the Rizzoli & Isles series of books.
