About this listen

The B!tch is back… and she's brought The Grit Doctor along for the ride.

What’s in your handbag? To-do lists scrawled on the back of receipts? An unpaid bill? Half a chocolate bar, covered in fluff? Is your handbag a metaphor for the rest of your life? Has becoming a capable, poised grown-up turned out to be more complicated than you imagined?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, and if you're tired of the crappy stuff in life grinding you down, then it's time to stop whining and Get Your Sh!t Together.

With this funny, frank, and tough-talking guide, Ruth Field and The Grit Doctor will help you:

  • Tackle daunting problems like a fearless superwoman
  • Figure out what you want from life and find the courage to Go For It
  • Learn how to get more sh!t done in less time
  • Stop feeling bad about your less-than-perfect life (because perfection's overrated anyway)

She taught you how to run; now she’s going to teach you how to run your life!

Enjoyable

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would, it is a quite enjoyable book, she says things we all know but that are nice to be remembered of.

It's a book you can read many times.

I don't agree with everything she says, but most I do.

Would you be willing to try another book from Ruth Field? Why or why not?

Yes I would, she's nice to be listened to.

What about Ruth Field’s performance did you like?

Yes, she does read the book putting all her heart into it.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

I don't think so.

Mostly good information

I found this had good information and how to tackle procrastination! However , I struggled to get the book to motivate me once I heard the story of giving up a weekend to get ahead! The work/life balance was non existent and basically unless you give up all family life we will succeed in our career! I feel if the author lived longer then they would know this is not always the case. Appalling advice - you can be successful. I would not recommend this book to anyone over the age of 30! References to her other book is often! The reference to the alter ego Dr Grit is not something I felt helped to get the point across. Atomic habits is a better audiobook in my opinion for the older reader.

Great coaching. Common sense stuff with humour!

This was good for me. Just getting rid of all the complicated analysis and getting on with action and being accountable to myself. I'd happily listen to more by this author.
