Summary

If you want to learn German quickly and without getting bored, don't waste any more time. Keep reading...

Learning a new language is not easy, and it can be quite boring and tiring if you don't have the right tools to learn it. This is also why many people choose to travel and dive directly in the place, but it is not such a simple solution for everyone. It will seem like a misplaced question, but science helps you here: Do you know that we memorize and learn information more easily through stories? That's because our brain likes it, and it has been so used to it from an early age, with the stories they told us, cartoons etc. In this way, we are more inclined to learn. As a result, it is easier to learn and memorize a new language by listening to stories.

Now, I don't want to influence you by saying that mine is the best book in circulation. You will be the judge, as you surely know there are several books similar to this one for learning German, but they are not really optimal or suitable for beginners for different reasons: complicated terms are used, they have too long stories with no parallel text in English, lack of vocabulary, grammatical errors, lack of techniques and suggestions, and other carelessness issues that you will not find in this book.

These are some of the things you'll be learning form this audiobook:

  • Tips and techniques about learning languages and key insights into learning German
  • The fundamentals of the German language
  • Some of the most complex issues of the German language
  • Verb conjugations in the Present Tense
  • 25 dual-language lessons in parallel text, broken down into verb tenses
  • The present simple tense with the verb "sein"
  • The present simple tense
  • And much more!

By purchasing this audiobook, you will have the big advantage that only this book offers - the parallel translation of the stories in English, which will definitively cancel any difficulty in understanding and memorizing the text.

Objectively wrong.

Don’t. Do not. This is utter trash, i wish audible allowed you to remove books from your library. Everything here is wrong, do not learn from this book. The authors should face jail time for this autrocity.

Not good - there are better

I found this to be unhelpful and actually wrong in places. The pronunciation of words is wrong in some parts and the grammar is unreliable. Case in point where the narrator talks about nouns and their masculine and feminine forms (no mention of the neuter) and then says that "der" is feminine and "die" is masculine - really? Did they not even check the recordings? The glossary gives nouns with no definite article so you do not know whether they are masculine or feminine or neuter and when they go through verb declensions they do not reference the "Sie" polite form and then decline the verbs with the "you (pl)" after the "they" form which deviates from the norm and is just confusing. Unhelpfully there is also no pdf so you cannot even cross check the translations given and work through them on your own.
Do not waste your money.

A great value

i got this book as i'm learning German language, its definitely a good one , it has lots of useful information but not for people who are starting from scratch. i found it very helpful although i'm currently studying in A2 course , hopefully will get certified soon, i would definitely recommend this book, if you have a background, but starting from scratch you can use doulingou first for couple of weeks and then u can use this book

Appreciate it

German is not an easy language, especially the part with the grammar. Though I'm learning it for quite long now, there still were parts i couldn't understand how or why would they be the way they must be.

Love this guide

This is a nice collection for the German learner. The first book, I think, is not so much to read but to refer to. It makes a great quick reference guide. The second book is useful because it is always easier, and more fun, to learn through stories.

Beginners

Short stories with useful vocabulary at the end is really helpful. Reading the summary in English at the end of each story first before reading the story in German language really helps to understand the story more. This is a good story book for beginners.

Vocabulary

Enjoyable book and a great way to review my high school and college German, but many words familiar to me were defined, while some I was completely unfamiliar with were not. A curious choice. Never-the-less, I found it useful and a painless way to get back into the language
