Evolution and the first chapter of Genesis
If you could sum up Genesis Enigma in three words, what would they be?
A clear outline of evolutionary theory with a interesting take on the first page of the Bible. It was good to hear a balanced thoughtful presentation from an agnostic scientist.

Surprising book
The author displays his deep knowledge of evolution comparing it with the biblical description of creation. Adding great historical and philological culture, he wrote a very pleasant book. Even though I cannot agree with the main thesis of this work (i.e.: Genesis concords with evolution), I really enjoyed it for the great amount of scientific informations and for the agreeableness of the writing. A very special mention for the narrator's voice.

Where were you...Andrew Parker?
Mr Parker uses his vast knowledge of science to intimidate and repudiate those who do not buy into the orthodoxy he is protecting. He spends the majority of the book establishing the materialistic view of the origin of life. He dogmatically asserts that the unguided machine of evolution drove all 4.5 billion years of the universe's development (except for the first one millionth of a second or something like that) with proven, "rock-solid" facts. There was very little attempt to persuade the reader but rather more of an attempt to overwhelm those of a "lesser intellect". He then congratulates the Ancient I AM for getting the story of creation "right". I am reminded of the passage in Job chapter 38 when God spoke to Job he said to him, "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth...? Well, Mr Parker writes as if he was a witness to it all! Yes, there was an admission towards the end of the book that there are some mysteries in the universe that may never be explained by science. But the place he left open for faith or religion seemed marginal at best... nothing that one would suffer to defend.

Can Biblical Truth and Scientific Fact Coexist?
Would you consider the audio edition of Genesis Enigma to be better than the print version?
The answer to this question, according to the book, is a resounding YES. Very easy to follow and thoroughly researched.
