Summary
Francisca Guinn learned to bake and make fruitcakes from her deceased mother, who had worked at the Collin Street Bakery. Fran had changed the recipe to suit her tastes, but she sold them during the holidays to make extra money. When she meets Trent Jones, she tries not to give him special attention because most Texans don't like her Mexican heritage on her mother's side.
