Summary
Brought to you by Puffin.
From New York Times #1 best-selling author Rick Riordan and award-winning author Mark Oshiro comes a new standalone adventure featuring two of the most popular characters from the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
ONE PROPHECY. TWO DEMIGODS. A HEROIC QUEST.
Nico di Angelo is pretty familiar with the realms of death, being the son of Hades and all. So when a desperate voice starts plaguing his dreams, Nico is convinced it's coming from the Underworld and belongs to an old friend - a reformed Titan called Bob. Then an ominous prophecy leaves Nico in no doubt - Bob needs his help and Nico must rescue him.
Of course Nico's boyfriend, Will Solace, the son of Apollo (the god of light) insists on joining the quest too. But can will even survive in the darkest part of the world? And what does the prophecy mean when it says that Nico will have to leave something of equal value behind?
As Nico faces demons both internal and external, his relationship with Will is tested to its very core. Can love find its way, even through the depths of hell?

I hate feeling things
It made me feel things and then called me out for suppressing those feelings. Awesome use of symbolism. Great story

Thank the Gods!
At last, at last, a superb narrator for a Rick Riordan book. AJ Beckles is leagues ahead of previous narrators. He injected EMOTION. Humour, anguish, love, terror. Brilliantly funny voices for the comic characters. Huge range of pitch and tone. Affection coming through at affectionate moments (one of those actors who can smile with his voice). Decent pacing. THANK YOU to the publishers and audible for casting someone so good. Thank you AJ Beckles for giving it so much heart. Perhaps you could get this guy to re-record series 1 & 2 of Percy Jackson?
This book is basically Solangelo fan fiction. If you want to read about Nico and Will battling demons, both tangible and psychological, whilst exploring and deepening their very sweet relationship, it’s for you. If not, you have been warned. I love that Rick R would do this for his fans and that he had the humility to collaborate with a YA LGBTQ specialist in Mark Oshiro.
I am not the target audience but I secretly loved it. It made the hours pass happily while at work in my studio. I am so pleased that these books exist for young people around the world.

AMAZING
An amazing book all around. This books gives us so much more about will and nico and gives us a better look at who they are as characters but also how they change from the start of the book to end is beautiful ❤❤

heartfelt
this was an amazing book to listen to. It had twists that were unexpected. A little confusing at first with switching between 2 different times telling the story but once it was understood it made sense. It feels very heartfelt and full of love and sorrow. I hope there will be a sequel to Nico and Will's story.
