She is most famous for her leadership of theosophy and her promotion of Krishnamurti as a world savior, but it is often forgotten that she was an early champion for women's rights, self-determination for India (she backed Gandhi's movement early on), and for Irish independence from British interference.

The narrator sounds like a tic toc robot. This is awful to my ears. Very disappointed.

Dreadful narration

A very insightful book into Besant's life before she came to Theosophy, but perhaps a bit dull in places. And while the narrator does a good job there are just so many editing mistakes throughout, where "bad takes" of lines are still present. That said, it's still worth your time if the subject interests you.
