Tagsüber erforschen sie dort die Ruinen der Stadt Achet-Aton, die Pharao Echnaton für sich und seine schöne Gemahlin Nofretete in den Wüstensand baute. Und nachts erkundet Fred heimlich Tante Eleanors Bibliothek. Doch bald verirrt er sich in Raum und Zeit und kommt dabei der altägyptischen Vorstellung vom Tod näher als ihm lieb ist...
