"Fans of laugh-out-loud romantic suspense will enjoy this author as she joins the ranks of Janet Evanovich, Katie MacAllister, and Jennifer Crusie."--Booklist
The Five Wishes Series is five hot and hilarious novellas about wishes that go terribly wrong…fortunately. Each novella is roughly 100 pages with NO cliffhanger. Five Wishes...A happy ending is just a coin toss away.
Book 1: Going Down:
Marion MacAlister wants to nail her audition, not get nailed. Truly. Honestly. All right...maybe she does want to get nailed, but that's just because her hottie landlord and local diner owner Mack Ryan is confusing her. Can friends become lovers? Especially friends who might not even be friends in the first place?
Book 2: Man Candy:
Raine Harper is in love with Wade Gates. But Wade likes women who are model thin, and Raine is model thin plus a whole lot of pounds. Desperate to make him love her, she trains just a little too hard and passes out in the arms of superstar movie star Dirk Adams. Dirk thinks Raine’s junk in the trunk is perfect and proposes to make Wade jealous by becoming her pretend boyfriend. Pretend soon seems very real. Is Dirk a great actor, or is something really developing between Raine and the movie star?
Book 3: Hot Wired:
Marie Foster is not a cheater. Nevertheless, she gets thrown out of college for doing just that. With her life turned upside down, she decides to try new things. You know…Get drunk in a bar. Pick up a guy. Marry a stranger, who just happens to be a hot billionaire.
Book 4: Just Sacked:
Layla has been working at her family’s bar since she was five years old. But it’s more than a bar. It’s home. Now with her family gone and debts piling up, her bar is repossessed and taken over by local businessman Hank Taylor.

A Great Feel Good Listen
This is just what I needed to listen to right now, this was a great feel good listen that had me laughing and wanting to listen to more once I started.
Angie Hickman did a great job narrating this series, it's my first time listening to a book she has narrated, but it certainly won't be my last.

Feel-good, laugh-out-loud contemporary romances!
This series is delightful. The stories are short, quirky, quick-paced and heavy on the feel-good factor. I particularly like how many of the characters have back stories and each book is almost like a snapshot of the poignant moments when their relationship took on a romantic flavour.
Elise Sax and Angie Hickman make a good pair. Elise creates funny characters and puts them in funny, and sometimes awkward, situations. Angie breathes life into the characters, giving their thoughts and words voice.
I have really enjoyed all five of the books. My only complaint is that I wish they were longer. Each story is so funny and I could happily enjoy more humourous moments!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Cute
Thank you to Angie Hickman for giving me this audiobook free of charge in return for an honest review.
The Five Wishes series is a few different stories that follows different characters as their wishes come true after wishing in a local well.
The Good Stuff
This was a really enjoyable audiobook with different short stories, all very entertaining and easy listens. The characters were all really likable and in my opinion, there wasn't one dud story.
I got about an hour into the story before I realised that I'd listened to narrator Angie Hickman before when I listened to 'Tinsel in a Tangle'. She really is a great narrator who really gets you stuck in the story. She really commits to what's going on with different voices and accents. Probably one of the best authors I've listened to.
I think that my favorite story of them all was 'Just Sacked'. It was quite funny to listen to and at times I did find myself chuckling.
When the story began I thought that maybe there would be far too many characters for me to keep track of, but it wasn't at all. The stories were so easy to follow and simple enough to not have to completely pay attention. It is really clever how each character of a story is introduced in the one before. I really enjoyed guessing what their story would be when they came into the picture.
