An Inspiring listen
lots of inspiring stories of women activists from many different backgrounds, championing many different causes. Stories were used to teach about different aspects of successful activism. This is an engaging way to learn. I cannot speak of it's effectiveness in practice as I am not running a campaign or championing a cause myself currently. I did find it has made me want to better understand and listen to others and their causes and think how can I better support the causes close to my heart.
I would have liked it if the narration tone could have varied a little between Sophie's writing and someone telling their story- to create a clearer differentiation.
Ultimately I think this book is there to inspire and motivate people to push for what they care about and not lose motivation.
Some really interesting reflections on the importance of hope and anger too. Funnily enough my next read is Humankind: A hopeful History.
