Where does Finding My Pack rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I absolutely LOVE a story that can be EXTREMELY sexy, while not being ABOUT sex. This book has the PERFECT balance ( for me, anyway. Being the over sensual pervert I am) between hot intimate moments, and outstanding character development. I have to say. At first I wanted our heroine to have NOTHING to do with 3/8 of the guys, and 2 others had already been seriously friend zoned in my mind. The fact that this book could change my mind COMPLETELY about 5 characters, while having NINE main characters in total?? Says something about the author's character development abilities!! Now, I'm SO deadly curious to see where this goes. Never in my life have a I read a book that accurately depicts the mindset of a successful poly-amorous household, within a YA, let alone to this caliber. I'm blown away with how communication is stressed through out, and WTF it's a werewolf book too??? I'm SOLD! I mean just WOW this book BLEW me straight out the water!!

With the way they've set up true mates, and the other details that are beginning to come to light about this world the author has created, I'm at the edge of my seat to see if our heroine gets to keep her boys, or if she's yet to find her one true soulmate! At this point.... I don't even know which outcome I'm hoping for!!! :DDDD

What other book might you compare Finding My Pack to and why?

The Hive Trilogy - 7 sexy guys, and a sassy main female protagonist. One of them loves to talk fashion and give her make overs. Both highly revolve around the super natural and being the rare female amongst the race. Same age range, and shady people after them for ulterior motives.

The Reliquary Series - Both books seem cute and romantic on the surface, but have a steamy sensual underbelly with perfect sexual chemistry between main characters. Supernatural elements as well. This book has lovely BDSM undertones, much like how Finding My Pack subtly teaches the polyamorous mindset.

The Mate Finder series - werewolves, and the special female who enters into the pack and changes their lives. A strong female lead who KNOWS how to handle herself. The werewolf lure set up in this book is EXTREMELY similar in theme to Finding My Pack. They could almost take place on the same plane, as though Finding my pack was a prequel or something XD

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!! I could barely put it down!! I usually only listen to audio books in the car, and it can last 3 days to a week depending on how much im driving! I actually drained my tank TWICE in the middle of the night driving around JUST to listen to it! ( Driving while listening provides the best experience for me, and I wanted to properly experience EVERY second!)

manipulation, coercion and pedophilia

There is so much wrong with this book! Manipulation, coercion and pedophilia... and that's from the "good guys." A centuries old guy tells a 16 year old naive girl, who is starved for positive attention, that as long as it feels right it's ok to do. That's just the tip of the iceberg. I enjoy a good polyandry story, but this book literally turns my stomach.

A 16 yr old girl being passed around by 8 guys

Important spoiler: While none of the guys has intercourse with the 16 yr old traumatized and homeless 4’11”, 107lb. girl, “Kitten” - they pass her around their beds each night and a some of them perform sexual acts with her or make out with her. I feel like the author tries to make all this statutory rape ok by making it so that she is most likely 1-3 years older than 16 but, which we find out maybe 3/4 of the way in to the story. But still, Kitten is mature in some ways, being homeless, but she is so very naive and young in so many ways, not only being a virgin but having never kissed anyone and not understanding her sexuality.
I would have been ok with the story of 8 guys and a mature, consenting grown woman falling in love with each other, but her being 16 and traumatized/abandoned throughout her life is a total deal breaker. Not okay, at all.

Loved this book but it is a cliffhanger!

The other books are available but not as audio! my vision is not good so it is hard for me to read anymore! I want them in audio! Please!

Omg I'm hooked.... where's the next one.

this book has everything, great story a little mistery, thrill, a great girl and a promise of romance, alot of sweet romance. in love with the characters and so very ready to find out what happens next.

Entertaining even with inconsistencies

The Premise: Kitten is a homeless girl who has raised herself from a very young age. When she escapes an attack one night, she is rescued by two young men who take her home with them to recover. She is surprised to find herself adopted by Tristan, Ash, and their 6 roommates aka pack mates. Some of Whitt’s world building is a little shaky, and there’s some inconsistencies in her characters (e.g. the overplayed innocence of Kitten when she grew up on the streets; plus, she has a photographic memory and educated herself by reading her way through the library.). If you can ignore some of these points, it’s still entertaining.
Please note that Kitten is NOT 16, she has counted 16 summers since she was able to start counting. That would be anywhere from 3-5 yrs old. That puts Kitten at 19-21 yrs old.

This is an alternate narration vs integrated - they take turns reading sections.
Aletha George has the perfect voice for Kitten. It’s great for“YA”, and she could probably pull off preteen to UpperYA voices. She even does reasonably well with her male voices.
Cooper North does well with the primarily male side.

I devour books and I love audio. Cannot. Wait. For. Book. Two...on Audio! Until then, I'll have to settle for reading it.

If you like the idea of Polyandry...

If you like the idea of Polyandry (the female version of polygamy) with a werewolf twist, then this book is for you.

The book spend most of it's time talking about the main character drooling over a group of men/wolves that take her in off the street. She then proceeds to fall in love with each of them at the same time and they are all ok with it... not very characteristic of wolves.

The story finally starts to get interesting/develop an actually storyline conflict around the last 3-4 chapters of the book before it ends.

Really enjoyable

I guess if you are buying and downloading the next story even before you finish the current one, you kinda like it!! I was and I did.

I loved the story. Kitten is a strong, independent and self sufficient woman who has had a rough life. She develops a unique relationship with each man and they each fulfill a need she has. It is a really sweet (and very funny at times) story. I just hate that it was so short and left you on a cliff.
