It’s been a while since I listened to the early books so I might be exaggerating but I really enjoyed this book as there was so much going on. The characters were good and the back story worked nicely and who can’t love 6 puppies as the link point?

can't get the 80s song out of my head, Kayleigh (mc taylee obviously) is it to late to say I'm sorry, by the way didn't I break your heart.
story flashes back ten yrs and an accusation that causes rome to leave behind her privileged life and join the army medical core. a chance meeting after rome rescues 6 abandoned puppies, sets in motion turmoil regret guilt and love.
really good story and so good to catch up with "old friends" from rivers series, just hope there's more.
