Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Find Your Why by Simon Sinek, David Mead and Peter Docker, read by Stephen Shedletzky and with an introduction by the author.

Find Your Why is the follow up to Start with Why, the global best seller and the subject of the third most watched TED Talk of all time. With Start with Why, Simon Sinek inspired a movement to build a world in which the vast majority of us can feel safe while we are at work and fulfilled when we go home at night. Now, along with two of his colleagues, Peter Docker and David Mead, Sinek has created a guide to the most important step any business can take: finding your why.

This easy-to-follow guide starts with the search for your personal why, and then expands to helping your colleagues find your organization's why. With detailed instructions on every stage in the process, the book also answer common concerns, such as: What if my why sounds like my competitor's? Can you have more than one why? And, if my work doesn't match my why, what do I do? Whether you're an entry level or a CEO, whether your team is run by the founder or a recent hire, these simple steps will lead you on a path to a more fulfilling life and long-term success for you and your colleagues.

I want to like it but I can't

Simon narrates only for 10 mins max the other guys voice isn't great in fact he is annoying. I do agree with some other reviews that the book is boring and very cheesy. I did like the last book, start with why, but this one is patronising with the odd interesting forward thinking view but not enough to justify the listen. Overall it is a missed opportunity and a weak listen.

Very dull and had to turn off!

I have listened to the first audio book - start with why which was superb. So I expected this to be of the same standard and a follow on but after 45 mins I had had enough it is just so slow and repetitive. Don't waste your money!

A good book, but left feeling deceived

I loved the audiobook version of Simon Sinek's "Start With Why". Accordingly, I was really looking forward to this audiobook. My first disappointment (which I could and should have known beforehand) is that it was not narrated by Simon Sinek. The narrator was fine, I had just expected it to be the author. So then I discover that the Foreword was written and narrated by Simon Sinek. I began to realise that something was afoot. After all, authors normally have someone else write the Foreword of their book. Then realisation dawned. This book does not appear to be written by Simon Sinek at all, more by two of his team. Furthermore, a large chunk of the book is basically advertising the first book. Had I not read the first book, I probably would not have felt like this, but I did and I was left with an overall sensation of feeling deceived. It is quite a good book, but it feels like false advertising to claim it is "by Simon Sinek".

disappointing delivery

i was really looking forward to this one. it was recommended by several sources. i was sold.
It was a good start, an intro by the author. so far so good. Then the reader started. I'd get used of his voice after a bit, I thought. I didnt. It became increasingly grating. The low nasal monotone drone blended all the sounds together.
It reminded me of a broken emergency exit light.
i gave up after 15 minutes.

Practical book from the excellent ‘start with why’

Liked the format of the book and the practical guide to understanding one’s why. At times it felt the examples given were too cliche’, but generally a good guide.

Good material, tedious delivery

The material is generally good but long-winded. The delivery is tedious, a far cry from Simon Sinek's style. I'm plodding through this audio book but it is a slow and painful process instead of a joyous one.

Watch the TED Talk.

The first few chapters are beneficial but this information can be obtained from Simon Sinek's YouTube videos. also the first chapter is a very quick summation of the first book.
I would not recommend getting this book.
Like the other reviews I agree the narrator is not great, he has quite a robotic voice and this made it difficult to get through.

Ruined by the voice

Why do they always use these tinny overly American voice overs??? So annoying. Simon Sineks voice is much better.
