Summary
Everyman is a late 15th-century English morality play. "Here begins a treatise [tale] of how the high Father of Heaven sends Death to summon every creature to come and give account of their lives in this world, told in the form of a morality play". Nothing is known of the author, but it is performed here by actor Burgess Meredith.

Good Pace Setting Aid
Really helps when you have a lot of reading to get through for a dissertation to set a pace for you to read along while listening. The voices were for the most part clear, although it has been translated in sections, I prefer the A.C Cawley transcription.

An Excellent Example of A Middle Ages Morality Play
This is an actual performance of a so called morality play. There are various actors. The title role is played by Burgess Meredith. I really enjoyed both the play and the acting of Mister Meredith. A play such as this is very dated stylistically. However it was great to hear a morality play actually performed. Thank You…
