Aquí conviven personajes de todo tipo, cada uno encimismado en sus propias tragedias personales que, en conjunto, crean un mosaico de locura colectiva: un hombre que es desalojado de su vivienda, una poco común directora de orquesta, un vendedor de estambres, un lector con un misterioso trabajo nocturno, una mitómana, un agente de la policía, además de los fantasmas que habitan casas con una genealogía desconcertante.

Este audiolibro de cuentos, que en ocasiones parece una novela fragmentada, es la totalidad de una sociedad que, como sucede al inicio a modo de preludio, estalla y sobrevive a sí misma.
