I heard of this epic many years ago when I read that the flood was likely to have influenced the writers of Genesis. I have been interested in Greek myths which are also said to have been influenced by this so, this morning, unable to sleep I started it and was so captivated I read it in one go. It is extraordinary to be reading the same epic read by people thousands of years ago. It puts you in touch with them. I recommend this audiobook very highly and the narrator does an excellent job as well.
