Story
You've heard this story before: a guy supposedly kills himself, but his best friend can't accept it. He calls in an investigator he knows to take a second look, certain there's more going on. I'm the investigator. Secret Service Agent Sean Avery. The guy who called me? My ex, Vice President Jonathan Sharp. And the guy he doesn't believe put a bullet in his brain? That was President Steven Baker. The deeper I dig, the more things fall apart. I've got a dead president inside a locked room. A hidden note. A secret gun. A missing CIA officer.

37 and a half hours of LOVE
- By Donna Hirsch on 26-07-20
Summary
President Jack Spiers fled Washington DC on the heels of a devastating attack on CIA headquarters, masterminded by one of America's own, former General Porter Madigan. While the world believes Jack was killed in the bombing, he embarks on a wild infiltration mission, smuggling himself into occupied Russia to rescue the love of his life: former Secret Service Agent and First Gentleman Ethan Reichenbach.
Reunited, Jack, Ethan, and deposed Russian president Sergey Puchkov, along with President Elizabeth Wall - the only person left in Washington DC who Jack trusts - must work together. They piece together a desperate plan, hunting Madigan to the ends of the earth and the bitter frigidity of the Arctic, where Madigan's world-shattering doomsday plan comes together.
Outnumbered, outmaneuvered, and outgunned, Jack, Ethan, Sergey, and the rest of the team struggle to put a stop to Madigan and his army. In the desolate extremes of the Arctic, their resolve, their strength, and even their love is tested, pushed to the absolute limits as choices must be made: choices that pit the fate of the world against the love in their hearts, and the loves of their life.

Mind Blown....
This series has felt like an epic climb up to the summit of the Himalayan mountains !
I feel like I've lived with Jack, Ethan, Sergei, Sasha, Scott, Adam, Faisal and so many more men for months. I thought the story would never conclude ! But what a heart stopping story it is, non stop action and treachery in many forms.
10 stars for the story and 10 stars for the story teller. If there were any mistakes I never heard any, it was so good .

***Book Review***
5 stars for the series as a whole. I did guess who the traitor was in the White House, so go me for that one, but as far as Adam's team was concerned, not a bl**dy clue I'm afraid 😏.

Far fetched but great fun!
Have really enjoyed this series. V. Nicely written characters with an action packed storyline. Did find it all got a little silly but I just embraced it in the end. Some great twists and turns to the point where I literally exclaimed out loud in surprise at one point. Narrator did a great job, Russian accent was questionable but tbf better than mine! Thumbs up!

Enjoyable
I have absolutely loved this series. Great balance of action, varied plot lines, character development, relationship development, theoretical plausible situations delivered in a Hollywood action thriller way. Compared to the previous books I found myself sometimes rolling my eyes at things like the trust they put in enemies, and Adam’s behaviour, and occasionally my attention drifted off when the book lulled. However, those times never lasted for long and it would have been a five star book otherwise. I really hope this author publishes more audiobooks as they’re a very talented writer. Highly recommend this series.

Fantastic Suspenseful Action Romance Series
5 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames
Narrator John Solo scooped it up and ice lollied the shit out of this performance. Listeners will lick every drop of nervous tension, suckle on the cold anticipation, and nibble on the endless torturous outmaneuvering of mad-psyco Madigan. This talented narrator has the ability to carry a listener away and into the story, submersing listeners fully into the ice-sculpted world; Tal Bayer created.
For the love of Siberian snowmen or Nenets, what an arctic adventure it was! I will say it again!!! I love audiobooks that are longer, and I feast on audiobooks that are 20 hours long. Creating this excellent audiobook must have taken a massive amount of blood, sweat, and a massive amount of creative fuck words, and I salute this author/narrator team by nominating them for the Goodreads audiobook and narrator of the year!
Not once did I think OMG maybe headbanging the garage door would be more exciting, or kill me already hell sounds less torturous.
No, this series is so far up the quality ladder, it makes Outlander look like a kids’ backyard pretend war game. People who don’t see that, pull your blinders over your clappers and move on.
The skillful narration and dramatization drenched us with enough adrenaline to light up a small city. Listeners, grab onto your snowmobiles and pack those RPG’s, you’re gonna go hunting in the Arctic. This frozen vanilla custard pie was beautifully done with three cherries on top (PUN totally intended). We got tossed with three gay couples, their love is nervously sweet and tangy. My favorite couple is the Russians, I found them very entertaining. Hardheaded and stubborn, is how I would describe them.
I have no clue in what year this series played out. It’s absolutely fiction. The author managed to build a world that is totally political, without any danger of connotation to our reality. I enjoyed it for that reason so much more.
I do recommend this audiobook.

Perfect end
What a series. Honestly, secret service agent and president fall in love? The premise should have been ridiculous. But damn can Tal Bauer write. Not only was this story thoughtful & engaging. It swept you up with side characters just as engaging as the main characters. It was a roller coaster of emotions, but I will buy tickets for this ride again and again. I’m so happy to have this story in audio format. I hope his whole catalogue of books gets the same treatment. Fantastic.

I wish the author had left out chapter 17,
After 2 books of Ethan and Jack going crazy to be with other I felt completely grossed out hearing the intimate scene with Jack and Sergey. I don't care that nothing happened, I didn't appreciate it at all. I'm not even sure I want to finish this now. Ugh. In fact the entire direction Sergey's character was going in this book has been grating my nerves, and then chapter 17 happened. I'll probably skip anything to do with his parts now, which I hate to do, but that one scene ruined the whole damn series for me.
Everything else is so good though.

Great conclusion of an epic adventure
Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
📖 Story comment: If i'm going to ask "how much can one Author put his characters through" - I think this series is my new benchmark 🤣.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this concluding story of the Executive Office series. It's had all the elements of an epic adventure keeping me glued to my earbuds at every opportunity. My only negative comment (and why the story is more a 4.75 and not a 5 stars) would be the "people cloning", just pushed my realms of reality a little too far, on what was a story that has been so relatively grounded in reality and could have been set in any year of any current (or not too distant future) day.
I very much appreciated that this book didn't just end at the "saving of the world" with a fast wrap up HEA, but we got actual conclusions and glimpses into the lives of the characters as they become the best versions of themselves and get the lives they are due.
🎧 Narrator comment: John Solo's masterful performance has been a big factor in my enjoyment of this series. His characters have remained consistent across all the books, i've felt all the emotions, action, adventure, torture, heart pounding terror and joy - its been a journey of epic proportion, that I will happily experience over and over again. 👍👍

Heart on a stake
In typical Tal Bauer fashion, this series warms your heart and then rips it out and puts it on a stake. This book 3 is the stake part. It’s a lot of war. It’s great but difficult to read. Be sure to read the fluffier book 4 after this. Then, take a rest in your life and know you are not alone.

Great story. Great narration.
This was an amazing, action packed, tension filled conclusion to an intriguing series. The Executive Office series has been an excellent blend of thriller and romance with a dash of science fiction tossed in. The science parts were thought out well enough that the engineer in me is trying to figure out if those things would work...
The research the author has done to develop environments, characters, and events is obviously thorough, and the details are realistic. After reading this book I felt compelled to check up on my former classmates who joined the Navy Nuclear Engineering program. Submarines are cool from an engineering perspective, but some of us think it is way more fun to design them than live on them.
After reading and then listening to this book, one characteristic about Tal Bauer's writing stood out very distinctly. Bauer doesn't just write a story, he writes about viable solutions to real world problems. Problems that are prevalent in politics, relationships, society, international relations, and more are presented with a reasonable solution. For me, this is the absolute best part of reading. I get a chance to see how someone else solves life's puzzles. Now if more people would just read these books...
This was an excellent read/listen. Once again John Solo's performance was nicely done, and the entire series is worthy of multiple rereads.

Strong men, hard willed and successful become vulnerable and risk taking because they find their love of their life in another man…..and I struggled with the character shift.
It doesn’t change the quality of the tale too much - just impact on the voracity.
