Bad Nauheim 1958: Die beschauliche Kurstadt ist völlig aus dem Häuschen, als Elvis Presley in der Villa Grunewald Einzug hält. Nur Elfriede Kunz, die Wirtin der Gaststätte "Rheingold" bleibt auf dem Teppich. Sie hat in ihrem bewegten Leben schon viele berühmte Persönlichkeiten in ihrer Heimatstadt kommen und gehen sehen.
