Sophie will sich von nun an auf ihr eigenes Leben konzentrieren und beschließt, in England zu bleiben und ein Bed & Breakfast zu eröffnen. Dabei lernt sie Lucas kennen, einen bekannten englischen TV-Moderator, der sie mit seiner arroganten Art in den Wahnsinn treibt. Doch dann erweist sich Lucas als Retter in der Not, und Sophie muss sich fragen, ob die große Liebe nicht vielleicht doch in der englischen Provinz zu finden ist...

Alexandra Zöbeli wurde 1970 in der Schweiz geboren und ist im Berner Oberland aufgewachsen. Ein Sprachaufenthalt in London infizierte sie mit dem Großbritannien-Virus, der mit Übernahme des eigenen Gartens vollständig ausbrach. Zusammen mit ihrem Mann lebt sie im Zürcher Oberland und arbeitet als Sachbearbeiterin einer Schulverwaltung. Ihre kreative Seite lebt sie auch beim Seifensieden, Gärtnern, Nähen und Basteln aus. Aber ihr liebstes Hobby ist das Schreiben, weil man dabei die erstaunlichsten Abenteuer und Geschichten erleben kann, ohne dass einem Grenzen aufgesetzt sind. "Ein Bett in Cornwall" ist ihr erster veröffentlichter Roman.
