Sie ist ein lichterfüllter, reinigender Baum und die dazu gehörige Göttin Brigit oder Birgit läuft im Frühling übers Land und bringt alles zu mehr Leichtigkeit und ins Fliessen. Sogar unsere Gedanken und Worte. Die Birke ist im Norden der Maibaum und steht insgesamt für fröhliches Wachstum und Gedeihen.
Die Birke ist auch ein Schamanenbaum, unter ihm wachsen oft Fliegenpilze. In der Meditation werden wir von der Birke hochgehoben ins Licht und die Anderswelt, deren Zugang unter der Birke nur ein dünner Schleier ist. Sanft werden wir gewiegt und geschaukelt und alles Verhärtete wird aufgeweicht, gelöst und kommt wieder in den Fluss. Mit Bildern voller Zuversicht und Lebensfreude hilft uns die zarte, elastische Birke, wieder zu uns zu kommen und heil zu werden.
