Summary
Die Kunst des Hungerkünstlers ist zu Hungern unter Aufsicht der Öffentlichkeit. Hierzu sitzt er in einem Käfig. In Kafkas Erzählung ist der Hungerkünstler zuerst eine Attraktion. Doch bald besteht kein Interesse mehr, sodass sein Betreuer den Käfig öffnet und ihm etwas zu essen gibt. Doch der Hungerkünstler möchte weitermachen und verweigert das Essen. Schließlich kommt er in einen Zirkus und wird immer schwächer...
