Summary
Colette Viard ist die Gewinnerin der Kochshow "Le Grand Gourmet", die im französischen Fernsehen für Traumquoten sorgt. Mit dem Preisgeld eröffnet sie ihr eigenes Restaurant. Commissaire Lefevre, der zu den Gästen der Eröffnungsfeier gehört, will gerade eine Gabel des köstlich riechenden Fischgerichtes probieren, als ein Schrei die heitere Stimmung zerreißt. Raul Da Silva, der gefürchtete Restaurantkritiker, ringt um Luft. Als er schließlich vor aller Augen stirbt, ahnt Lefevre, dass ihm dieser Fall noch schwer im Magen liegen wird. Bald sieht er sich in einer Melange aus Missgunst, Eifersucht und Intrigen verstrickt, die ihn wünschen lässt, seinen Fisch doch lieber zu Hause gegessen zu haben...
