About this listen

Among the different types of anxiety, social anxiety is perhaps the easiest anxiety disorder to cope with. In this audiobook, we will go through and understand the aspects of social anxiety and what happens in the mind to make you feel and act the way that you do.

Have you ever wondered why anxiety symptoms happen when you are in social settings? Or maybe you have wondered why you may have tried everything, but nothing is working.

This audiobook talks about not just the ways you can cope with your social fears but also how to work through every stage of a panic attack to help you be calm in these moments. This audiobook can never replace the advice of a professional psychologist or doctor; however, it is recommended to read it for when you just don’t have time to make those appointments. If you are in a tough spot and nothing else seems to be working, this book is a must-listen.

We talk about how to recognize the signs of anxiety, how to tell when an anxiety attack is coming on, how to handle panic attacks when they come on suddenly, how to cope with it long-term, and how to eat better to combat these feelings.

This audiobook explains how you can be kind to yourself and develop confidence in a way that you didn’t think was possible. It’s the ultimate guide on how to overcome your social anxiety issues, and the best part is that you can use all the techniques for other things, like banishing negative thoughts in your mind, controlling your worries, and overcoming the fears associated with the anxiety itself.

The thing we need to understand about anxiety is that it’s not impossible to fix, and even though you may think that you will have anxiety forever, you won’t. Anxiety is all about how you live, whom you surround yourself with, what you eat, how you think, and what you do. Not only does this book explain and answer these questions, but it also helps you to understand how to turn your life around in every aspect of these questions.

An interesting Listen

I don't have social anxiety disorder but I do find work related and formal social events to be quite stressful. I found this book really interesting. It gives lots of detail about the differences between shyness and social anxiety disorder.
The chapters on tips and tricks for things you can do now to improve your social anxiety are all common sense ideas and very doable. There were plenty of ideas that I felt that I could use in social settings.
The chapter on CBT was helpful and something I plan on finding out more about.
