Summary
Die Hauptfigur ist ein armer Schneider, der am Anfang der Geschichte von Fliegen gestört wird, die von einem neben ihm liegenden Apfel angelockt wurden. Wütend schlägt er mit einem Tuchlappen auf die Tiere ein und tötet alle sieben. Begeistert von seiner Tat, lässt er sich einen Harnisch anfertigen, auf den er in Goldbuchstaben die Worte "Siebene auf einen Streich!". Daraufhin geht er in die Welt hinaus, auf dass es jeder erfahre. Die zweideutige Inschrift wird jedoch missverstanden, und man hält den Schneider für einen Kriegshelden, der sieben Männer auf einen Schlag getötet habe.
