About this listen

In a world where light deceives and darkness speaks in whispers, Cait Reagan’s quest to save her sister will awaken powers—and enemies—beyond her wildest nightmares. Bound for Ireland, Cait’s mission to rescue her sister, Aoife, falters before it even begins.

The journey ahead is perilous, and Cait’s complicated feelings for Elizabeth and Nastasia only deepen the stakes. But even worse, the Light Fae—once the guardians of all that is good—have transformed into something far darker. The Emerald Isle, meant to be a sanctuary, feels more like a snare closing in.

Caught in the chaos of Cait and Nastasia’s frantic escape from Boston is Maggie, a no-nonsense Army medic. Though held hostage, Maggie might be more than she seems, her presence stirring questions Cait isn’t ready to face. Meanwhile, Doyle is changing—her innocent cravings slowly becoming darker, unsettling the group as much as their enemies. And then there’s Rowan, an ancient vampire said to be the first of his kind—impossible to predict and even harder to trust.

Yet Cait’s most dangerous enemy might be herself. A dark power stirs within her, reshaping her thoughts, her actions, and perhaps even her soul. As her companions grow more uncertain, Cait begins to fear that the person they knew is slipping away—replaced by something far more dangerous. Haunted by a voice—her own, yet not—whispering truths she’s terrified to confront, Cait must face the unraveling of her identity while trying to discern friend from foe in a world gone mad.

Dark, gripping, and steeped in supernatural peril, Dark Sisters is a tale of light veiled in shadow. Cait’s battle to save her sister could cost her everything—even herself. And as the mist clears, one terrifying truth becomes clear: her greatest challenge lies ahead—against a foe she never saw coming.

Listened in a day!!!!

I was waiting for this to be released and it didn’t disappoint. Now I’ve just got to wait for the next instalment. Once again Aoibh Woods delivers with fantasy and adventure. It had me gripped from the start.

Would highly recommend this series. I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to give anything away. The end leaves it open for the next twist in the series.
