A manipulation in its own right
On the fence about this book. At first the book was quite good but then went into Trump bashing in one section and then in the persuasion section shows s left wing agenda basically saying you should be nice and compliant in not so many words.

Not very good
Didn't sound very scientific. More like putting sociopaths on a pedestal. Only listened to 10 minutes and that was enough.

Borrowed expertise and nothing original
If you have never read Cialdini 's book on influence or Robert Greene's works then you may five this book useful. For me, I can do without the recaps. the rest, as far as I could tell, was common sense to all but those lacking in basic theory of mind or modest empathy. I kept listening to see if there was anything of value that I didn't already know, or maybe a hot take on the work of Cialdini and Greene but I did not find it. Do people really need to be told that ordering someone to 'come here' in a retail setting is not going to go down well?
There did not seem to be anything original of value from the author and the best I can say is that it may be a useful primer. My hopes of an exiting dive into dark psychology were far from satisfied. My recommendation is to read/ listen to the masters.
Sorry, but I couldn't get to the end. I made it about 75% through before I'd had enough and decided on returning the title and getting my credit back. I can only assume other reviewers have not previously read the works mostly cited/ rehashed in this book.
The author asks for feedback and mine would be don't make promises you can't keep. You need to do deeper and broader research and to create a more unique take on the subject matter. In my opinion the book description should be that it is a primer or condensed recap of Cialdini and Greene. I got no sense of expertise from the author. The narration was tolerable but not great.

It’s a hard slog
This book of two halves imparts some useful information.
However the voices of the narrators lacked energy and made the listening experience a bit monotonous.

Overly dramatic and repetitive
Helps classify people, but struggles with repetition and a overly dramatic narrator. It either has too much filler or not enough content, I am swayed towards the latter. Regretful purchase.

intriguing skill enhancers with a twist
it was a good refresher on basics of persuasion with some more in depth looks at our darker sides as humans. I was surprised to see where I may have been manipulated or manipulative in my own relationships.

DO NOT BUY!! 200+ books in my library this is the only one I’ve returned.
This is by far a joke of an audiobook. Anyone who rated this above 1 star I’d assume suffer of mental deficiencies.
Then entire audiobook repeats its self. Literally the same chapter repeat 5 plus times. This is about 30 minutes of unique context. The other 3.5 hours is the same shit repeated over and over, some information more than 5 times.
Save yourself the trouble, this is by far the worst work on NLP.

Caveat Emptor, still not bad.
If you exercise critical reading throughout, you are probably going to be disappointed. Many assertions made with no references. No bio on the author. Still did a good job and hard work.
