About this listen
After the sudden death of his wife two years ago, Darren Griffin has finally found peace. He has a good life, good job, two daughters he’d do anything for, and a beautiful home on the beach.
Greer Monroe is grieving the loss of her father. It’s the final rung on the broken ladder that’s become her life - crappy job, no friends, and a cheating ex-boyfriend. At the insistence of her aunt, Greer decides to spend some time at her family’s beach house.
When the glee-filled sound of children’s laughter dances through the breeze, Greer finds herself smiling again. The neighbor girls are carefree, depicting a life Greer has only dreamed about. Husband, children, happiness - a family. And their father, Darren, he’s everything a woman could ever want.
But it is, of course, only a dream.
She can’t stay at Carolina Beach, no matter how much she adores Darren and his daughters. She has responsibilities at home, a mother who needs her. Where there’s love, there’s heartbreak, and she can’t go through that again. And she sure as hell won’t do that to those little girls.
But Darren isn’t letting her go that easily. It’s been so long since he’s felt this way for anyone. Greer is his missing piece, a piece he never thought he’d find.
Saying goodbye is hard, but sometimes starting over is even harder.
Only when they dare to dream again, will they ever dare to love.

loved
Brilliant narration from Lillian Yves
This is a steamy, sweet and fun romance story with drama. Greer and Darren have things in common, both trying to move and deal with it in their own way. I enjoyed the characters in this story a lot. Great chemistry between Greer and Darren.
Darren's children Vivian and Violet were absolutely adorable.

Impossible to put down.
This is one of the most beautiful second chance love story I have read. Two people that is hurting from 💔 hearts, one from the death of his wife, one from cheating spouse and the death of her father in the same day. Greer and Darren has great chemistry, together were able to fine love and fulfillment again while they slowly heal each other's heart. I absolutely love Darren's two daughters, they are a big part of their healing.
The two families are wonderful characters, there is plenty of humor and they played fantastic part in making the story impossible to put down. Love the bonus chapter, I could not ask for a better ending. I have to say the story was narration was great so it was a pleasurable listen.

It was a great story, but...
The story is really good and kept hooked until the end.
A grieving young woman meets a young widower and his two perfect daughters living next door to the beach house that she escaped to heal, and they become the key to mend not only her heart but also their own.
The story is almost angst free between the main couple, and everything happens pretty fast, but I liked anyway.
🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧
What bothered me here was the Narration.
The book is told from dual POV, but there's only one female narrator, that doesn't distinguish her voice to any character.
It's the same flat voice/tone for male, female, children, elderly...
So I guess that this ruined a bit of the audiobook experience for me.
A duet narration, or even a more expressive narrator, would make wonders to this story.

Beautifully Written & Heartfelt
Dare to Dream is one of those stories that will pull at your heartstrings and grabs hold of you and doesn't want to let go. The emotional start resonated with me on a personal level; to say I was captivated from the beginning is an understatement. The characters, Greer and Darren, are authentic, and their interactions were genuinely heartfelt, as well as passionate. Fate brought them together at the point in their lives when they both needed healing.
With her telling, Lillian Yves breathed life into the character, I thoroughly enjoyed her performance. Dare to Dream is a beautifully written story, one I highly recommend.
