Summary
Follow God's process for growth and learn how you can benefit from life's challenging experiences with this audiobook by best-selling inspirational author T.D. Jakes.
In this insightful audiobook, number one New York Times best-selling author T.D. Jakes wrestles with the age-old questions: Why do the righteous suffer? Where is God in all the injustice?
In his most personal offering yet, Bishop Jakes tells crushing stories from his own journey - the painful experience of learning his young teenage daughter was pregnant, the agony of watching his mother succumb to Alzheimer's, and the shock and helplessness he felt when his son had a heart attack.
Bishop Jakes wants to encourage you that God uses difficult, crushing experiences to prepare you for unexpected blessings. If you are faithful through suffering, you will be surprised by God's joy, comforted by his peace, and fulfilled with his purpose.
Crushing will inspire you to have hope, even in your most difficult moments. If you trust in God and lean on him during setbacks, he will lead you through.

Powerful Life Changer
This book came to me during the most crushing and painful experience of my life. My divorce had turned ugly, I was fighting for child access, in the process of loosing everything I’d built over the years, my reputation was under public attack and I was publicly being betrayed by the person closest to me. I was lost, angry, hurting and confused. I was struggling to make sense of any of it, questioning where God was in the midst of my storm.
Then I came across this book. It helped make sense of the process. Within it I received many personal revelations. I now understand the process - and even welcome it - as I recognise now that in order to become all that God wants me to be, I have to transform beyond that which I thought I was.
This book helped me understand the season I was in, thereby making the process much more bearable. It gave me inner peace, strength and endurance and even though my circumstances stay the same (and at times intensified) I’m now able to deal with situations more powerfully, intentionally and more compassionately.
So if you’re going into/coming out of, or are currently in a season of pain, you will find your peace in this book.
ThankYou for this gift to humanity T.D Jakes. God abundantly bless you and your family 🙏🏾

Encouraging but Repetitive
Encouraging that Crushing isn't a result of our sin or failures and that God isn't through with us yet!
It's a look long and a bit too repetitive for me, so glad I could listen on audio with a fast speed!

Honest Personal Account
TDJ is excellent as usual. in his candid account of his personal challenges and triumph as a father. it's refreshingly Honest. My angle on this is that we judge others as badly as we judge others. If we are able to genuinely see ourselves as the master sees us especially in the face of adversity. Our self talk will reflect a better picture of who we really are, that should show in is as we navigate life's obstacles

A revelation
This book is a tool, needed for life. I’ve already started it three times. It’s rich with words of encouragement, but also educative, and explanatory, as it relates and draws from scripture. I’ve felt empowered as I have listened. It meets me in my time of crushing, so it’s relatable to my present situation. God bless and keep the writer and his family.

The Voice
The content is excellent but it is not Bishop Jake's voice. His voice is anointed and without it, the narrative is hard to feel and follow. I am very disappointed in the fact that it is a different voice. It felt like a boring lecture instead of a sermonic story.

great read
The grape doesn't understand the vine... it just rests in it... That was worth the whole book right there💯
Here's one more... The vintage is only as good as the wait... #boom.
Ok, last one... I've seen a lot of people in the world I've admired, but nobody I'd rather emulate because..., they have no wine...👀
That last one wasn't in the book (actually, it was in his sermon "Marriage at Cana" preceding the release)... BUT IT SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE BOOK BISHOP😂. Great Job👍👍👍👍👍

Disappointed
I was really looking forward to hearing TD Jakes voice. The reader does not have the same power that connects to the inner man as Bishop Jakes.

The crushing is not the end!
What an amazing spirit filled book! It is not a coincidence that I was able to listen to the audio version of this book while going through this very season. Everything about this book gave me clarity to understanding the season I’m in and peace to my spirit. Bishop Jakes- you will never know the impact you’ve had on my life through the sermons you’ve preached and the books I’ve read that you’ve written. Thank you for answering the call and teaching me how to get through the valleys of my journey. My hope has been renewed!!

Wrong Narrator
I couldn't finish it because the voice didn't match the image of Bishop Jake's in my head telling the story.

Eye opener of different perspective
Many time during a crushing I thought I am going through a punishment but Bishop show that the crushing is to make me a better person so that I can then be a choicest wine to show the goodness of God through my difficult times! Thank you Bishop!

Great book, poor naration
This is very inspirational, however the narrator does not do this book justice. It would have been amazing if TD Jakes himself narrated the book.

Encouragement in the Time of Need
I pre-ordered this book and started listening to it first thing this morning. I'm already grateful that I did. It's empathetic and encouraging. I'm so thankful Bishop Jake's wrote it because I really needed it, and I needed it right now.
