Summary
Secret Service Agent Oakes Weaver is in the midst of the biggest assignment of her career - leading the advance team for President Andrew Powell's impending trip to Philadelphia where everyone expects he will be nominated to run for a second term. The last thing she needs is a tragedy among the president's inner circle that might not be an accident, or the sudden recruitment of Ari Rostof, a woman who might be a lot more than she seems. But Oakes doesn't get a say in policy, she only has to secure the president's safety - at all costs.
First Daughter Blair Powell and her spouse, Cameron Roberts, are among the reelection campaign members accompanying President Andrew Powell to Philadelphia. While the president may be protected by his Secret Service agents, those close to him are literally in the kill zone, and his adversaries will stop at nothing to further their cause - even mass murder.

Narrator ruined it
First time I haven't finished a Radclyffe audible, so I'm rating the story 4 stars because that's what I expect. Unfortunately I had to send this back as the narrator was awful. The deep voices she did sounded like they were idiots, there was no change of tone or voice. And for some reason she left pauses in all the wrong places particularly after direct speech.... said so and so. Very disappointed and not sure why we couldn't wait until an A list narrator was available. I will now wait until the paperback is a better price.

Enjoyed it but...
I enjoyed the book and the narrator was good. My one issue is changing the narrator for the series. You get used to the tone and the voices created by the previous narrator then you're completely thrown by the characters having a different voice and inflection.

Why???
I’m struggling to understand why the author allowed a different narrator to read the last book in the series!! It is a mess! A complete shambles
I’m so disappointed none of the characters sound remotely like they did all the series through which made the book so difficult to follow, why do this?? It makes no sense! I’m only chapter 1 in and I have an headache, what a waste. I will definitely be returning this hot mess

Disappointed!
I, along with many, eagerly awaited the release of this book. I only wish that Abby Craden could have been the narrator, since she did the others in this series. This narrator was so awful that it not only made the book hard to listen to but the way she spoke took away from being able to truly get into the story. I have listened to the other 9 books numerous times but can honestly say that I don't think I will be able to listen to this book ever again. That saddens me because this book series has been one of my absolute favorites. If possible, re-release with a better narrator, PLEASE!!!

Worst of series by far
Price of honor left off on a cliffhanger. No mention whatsoever of that at all in this book. No Jane. Time jump through fifteen years unexplained. We are just suddenly in present day but still Powell’s re-election campaign. Different opposing candidate out of nowhere that barely gets a name. This is an Honor entry in name only. The Justice characters are much more (annoyingly) prominent than any familiar Honor players. I’m over half through and there has been no story to speak of, no character development. No Diane, Renee or any other peripherals. Felicia and Stark are in one short scene. So far this is a vehicle for the justice characters, Mitch/Del and Sandy, to have sex and swagger around. I don’t care.
The narration is not Abby, but it’s more than adequate and a minor issue in light of the overall crappy story. If Rad actually wrote this, I don’t know what she was thinking. But it seems like someone was given three or four names from the Honor series and told to mention them every so often while writing something to showcase the gender fluid Justice relationship.
Honor books are action romances. This one is paint drying. Slowly. With people we don’t care about or know, and no attempt at continuity. Lazy. Sloppy. So disappointing.

Slightly disappointing
Firstly, I wasn’t a fan of the change in narration. When you get used to the voices associated with a character based on previous narration, bringing in someone new changes the overall feel of the characters. It almost feels disingenuous. The story line was good and I always love how the different series’ intertwine.
That being said, I wanted more action. It was great that no one was hurt/killed, but I’ve come to expect at least a close call. Closer than what this book had to offer. I’m ready for the next book.

You just don't sub for Abby Craden - updated
What in the hell happened with book 10? Rad, were you up against a deadline? Where are our favorite characters that were in every book like Diane? Also, if I knew ahead of time that they did not use Abby Craden I don't think I would have purchased this. I did not get far before I had to throw in the towel. This needs a serious do-over. Rad... write book 10 again and whoever's call it is on who narrates these books, for the love of whatever higher power you pray too use Abby Craden!
So I tried again to listen to this but just can't do. The narrator does not seem to act out the scenes or use various voices so we know who is talking. She is just reading words from the book. Everything is just monotone. Hey Rad, you messed on this one but I would actually listen to it if you had Abby Craden. She is definatly a Top 3 narrator when it comes to lesbian books.. probably top 3 for all genres but hell if I am going to listen to a book a out straight people, it's just too boring. .... lol
