talk about staying the obvious!
this could have been written by a school kid, it just stated the obvious. i found it very frustrating and I feel it is aimed at people with extremely poor social skills. listened to about 1.5 chapters, skipped to chapter 14 and it was still like it was more appropriate for a primary school child to be listening to. I knew all of what I was hearing. couldn't recommend

Keep the Love going!
This book is excellent. Although I found the techniques challenging to implement. If one can commit to using these principles, they will go a long way to offering a better relationship with your partner. I cannot say enough good things about this book. Such simple techniques that have such a huge effect. He explains why conflict starts to begin with, and offers practical, real tools to diffuse it (or avoid it to begin with). If you or your spouse tend to play the blame game when you have conflict, then this book is an absolute must listen.

Profoundly Clear, Surprisingly Practical !!!!!!!
Whether for personal growth in communication, or public presentations, Tim's book is a masterpiece. Not only is Tim a clear communicator (in this book, stories actually go with the overall point being made, rather than offer distractions or breaks), but he clearly has a deeper understanding of human behavior and learning. The Compelling Communicator is an essential listen for anyone who wants to be intentional about his or her communication. I cannot recommend it highly enough. !!!!!!!!!!!

Common Sense In Book Form
Struggled to finish it because of the subject matter redundancy throughout the book. Maybe be good for younger people emerging into the very sensitive social society.

Basic & intuitive & deep - extremely valuable
Though this book does not pose this question directly, it is a question that I’ve had to reflect on while reading this book. And I haven’t really liked what I’ve been forced to admit - that many of the ways we communicate in our everyday life take from the well-being of others.

The conciousness in our intentions
Mary did a beautiful job of taking a vast and esoteric concept and broke it all down in to manageable steps. The book was a fun read and it was easy to understand, whether you are a veteran or new to the concepts covered. This book is the guide to shift from average and survival to creating the life that you actually were meant to live!!

Small book with a workable plan that works
I listen this book to be more intentional in being a better communicator, thinking my listening was a strength. As I read, the author brought up when your mind wanders while listening to someone else speak or if you're thinking that you wish they'd get to the point already.
