Summary
Award Winning Finalist in the Fiction: LGBTQ category of the 2018 International Book Awards
A sweet lesbian romance!
Ellie Montgomery had a secret. Beyond being a mother, a best friend, and a baker of incredible desserts, there was something deeper in her soul that she had been forced to deny. Something she had never planned on revealing. Not even to those closest to her. Then, she walked into Ellie's Diner, and everything changed.
Dr. Hunter Vale was burnt out. A recent tragedy had her re-examining her life and career. A chance meeting at a local diner showed Hunter exactly what she was missing, and she knew she would do everything she could to make her dreams a reality. The problem was, Hunter didn't know if her advances would be reciprocated. And if they were, would her past destroy the possibility of a sweet future?

wow
there are few books that you can love and hate, laugh and cry at, and be totally be moved by
this is not an ordinary lgbt romance, but a work of literature brilliantly written by an author I have growing respect for, some of the subject matter is quite disturbing, but handled sensitively and not for shock value
the main mcs ' are extremely likeable with a close network of friends and real family, but unfortunately life is plagued by certain humans who know nothing of humanity
the narration is superbly delivered in a tone suitable to all situations
it's a great book I highly recommend

2nd Listen
This book makes is to my small list of would listen again. Besides loads of love - not sexual - this book contains a bit of heartbreak, strength, sweetness/happiness, a bit of ugly, friendship & family. This book follows the struggles each main character had to endure, how they made it through, shows how it takes hard work to push through and how it's easier to get through the hard times with loved ones around. I'm just glad they didn't leave this book on cliffhanger mode - the end results/verdicts were rushed through but at least it wasn't a cliffhanger. Oh and it was something towards the end I did not see coming, just glad I don't have those kind of people in my life.I
Although I do listen to my books at a 1.5 speed, I didn't mind the narrator - I think she did a good job.

Had me on the edge of my seat quite a few times!
This is the 3rd book I’ve read by this author, all of which I have loved! The characters the story lines the way she tells the story makes you feel like you are apart of this group. Always leaves you wanting more!

a power duo with the la lovers series
these are some of my favorite books to listen to over and over again. this was the first book I read of the series and fell in love with ellie and hunter. they are my second favorite couple to Rebecca and cassidy.
thanks to Kelly the story is amazing and thanks to stavers the audio comes to life. only slight downside...blaze sounded a bit weird to me but hey accents are hard.
fans of the series will love this addition.

Missing Spits
I love the story line. The accent seems ..... wrong. Otherwise the narrator provided a pleasant listening experience. Who ever did they editing left a good bit on the floor because chunks of the story are just silent.
