About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

What does it really take to create lasting sexual connections in long-term relationships?

Most couples struggle at some point to maintain their sexual connection. But a lot of the advice we are given on sex is either not very good or steeped in cultural assumptions and expectations that can end up hurting us.

In Come Together, leading sexual wellness educator, Dr Emily Nagoski, takes on one of the most misunderstood subjects of all time - good sex - and shows us that most of what we've been taught about enjoying sex is wrong.

Featuring inclusive stories and examples from a wide range of couples and individuals, you'll find out what great sex really looks like and the best way to overcome obstacles - including relationship conflicts, gendered beliefs about how sex 'should be' and body image worries.

With insight, humour and empathy, Come Together will radically transform the way you approach sex and desire, and empower you to create long-term, fulfilling sexual connections.

Just wow! I've learned so much from reading this book. No other sex and relationships author speaks to me in the same way as Emily does. Loved this book.

Plenty of useful guidance on how to be a better partner to your other person although from the perspective of a feminist. Not that it's bad but well pn through the book the message from on if the chapters on heterosexual relationships is "men you're broken, society broken you and you need to get fixed", the corresponding message to women is "ladies you're men are broken because of society and need to be fixed, help them get fixed". If you see no issue with these messages then perhaps thats why the loneliness epidemic is perpetuating and unlikely to be quelled.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking this book is just for women. Very useful and interesting

If you enjoy storytelling, which many do, like me you'll enjoy the therapeutic instances of storytelling throughout the audio book. I tend to prefer an emphasis on scientific studies in these types of publications, especially when the word science is used in the subtitle. it was admitted somewhat that science would not be the focus in the early chapters. The second half was centred around the sociology around masculine vs feminine expectations, ideals and gender studies.

I saw science in the subtitle, but there was not much of it
