Essential read for all

This audiobook brings to light deep rooted racial issues in the US affecting their own society in different key areas: emotional, social, educational, professional, financial. We can never be a civilised society if we treat anyone differently based on any grounds nor give everyone equal opportunities to reach their potential. This is a must-read for all as it affects all of us and we can all make changes in our own spheres that can make a difference, have a ripple effect and transform the lives of others and ultimately of us all in a positive way. Highly recommend this audiobook!

Such an important book

This audiobook dives super deep into the history and reasons behind the wealth gap. It highlights biased laws, racial prejudice, dodgy biased fiddlings with words, documents, livelihoods. It goes through the security and equity void, how different kids are taught different things at school, and much more.
Eye opening and chilling. Everyone should get this book.

Great understanding of history

This is an eye-opener for anyone who didn't know what is going on at present and what happened in the past. The historical wealth gap is a knowledge which the author has done a great insight and revealed the area which I didn't know myself. I enjoyed listening to this but was surprised by the level of detail and knowledge of the history. Awesome audio.

Lots of profound thoughts

This audiobook covers well on African American history and how it gradually affects the racial wealth gap in the current state. I love how the content was constructed and how the narrator tells insightful stories. Worth listening!

A Mandatory Read

This topic has never been more important, the time has come to openly talk about the painful past and the consequences it has on the lives of many Americans today. It’s the time to recognise that change must happen, but for this to take place we must first understand how much harm has been done and where exactly we need to start to build a fair and equal society in America, with access to wealth, education and entrepreneurial.
The author succinctly makes her point, induces emotions and honestly talks about the past, present and the future. We need more voices like this in our society to bring about a massive change for the better.

Very interesting listen

This is a very interesting audiobook on the racially driven history of America, and how it has contributed to the huge wealth gap between races. It is quite shocking to learn about some of the laws and practices in place. The book is structured and narrated well. Highly recommended.
