I was offended

Please understand. I have nothing but respect for the men and women who serve in our armed forces and especially the submariners.
But in his otherwise entertaining novel, Mr. Tucker shows a lack of respect for those of us who oppose military adventurism and use our freedom of assembly and freedom of speech to voice those opinions.
In Mr. Tucker's novel, the protesters at the submarine base were portrayed in the most cliched, hackneyed and offensive terms. They were described as scruffy, aged hippies in sandals who wore peace emblems around their necks.
Perhaps someone could tell Mr. Tucker that many of us who demonstrate are ourselves veterans.
Even if I weren't offended by the stereotyping, I would be offended by the sheer laziness of these trite descriptions.

Great short sub book

Partially bought based off of the triggered useless review from somebody else. This is a brilliant sub book, concise, entertaining, suspenseful, well narrated and worth a listen.
