Summary

When the US Air Force loses contact with an experimental drone carrying a classified weapon system over a remote section of the Ouachita Mountain Range of eastern Oklahoma, a team of elite Pararescue personnel are sent in to recover the asset. After the entire team and the helicopter sent to extract them vanish without a trace, it is discovered that a highly-aggressive, hairy, bipedal hominid is responsible for the attack. Code Name: Wild Hunt is called in to handle the paranormal threat.

The Wild Hunt is a covert group of Special Forces operatives that are recruited from all branches of the US military for highly specialized and classified missions pertaining to paranormal threats to humanity. With the increasing frequency of attacks, the Wild Hunt is split across four zones of the United States, with four teams operating in each zone. Teams are named after Hunting Deities with each zone representing a different pantheon. Due to the volatile nature of the missions and potential for panic in the general populace, the Special Operations Group known as the Wild Hunt does not formally exist in any government or military records.

Dispatching Team Odin, they soon discover that it wasn’t just one creature. They find themselves caught in the middle of a conflict between two clans of Bigfoot-like creatures embroiled in a territorial dispute. Creatures that they quickly learn are far more intelligent than originally anticipated. To make matters worse, they find themselves trapped by one of the worst snowstorms on record.

Can Team Odin locate any survivors of the original Pararescue team, as well as secure the missing drone? Or will they, too, fall prey to the same creatures?

Full out assault on Bigfoot by USArmy

Story line was good though it obviously gives the Bigfoot a much higher level of intelligence than they have proven to have to date. IE: weapons and strategic planning. One can overlook that as it is a novel after all, but what you can’t overlook is the terrible performance of the voice actor Cameron Buckner.
The “Performance” of this audio book was so bad that it sounds like a 3rd grader practicing his oral reading skills. There is no “voicing” of characters, inflection of emotions, and worst of all he used the word “impoverished when clearly the script called for improvised” TWICE come on man, learn to read!
Where was the editor when this really good book was being slaughtered by Buckner? You should have hired an unemployed vet to perform this book, at least you would have had the authentic sound of experience rather than listening to Buckner cough. Yes, he coughed and it was left in the recording.

I love this so much!!! Wonderful adventure!

Listening to this revived my memory of being in the Army, In this adventure, I got go along as an additional member of the unit. I could smell the battlefield, and fight along side of the team, The story is clever, and well written. The language of the military came back as a savory memory. It's the acronyms that I loved the best, as it is exactly as I remember. It captures the way the units communicate with realistic accuracy.

Cam is a amazing and accomplished narrator, I am looking forward to listening to more of his work .

Non stop action from beginning to end!

The author weaves an exciting tale of a covert military mission to a remote area of Oklahoma against some surprising antagonist!

The non-stop action combined with the narration by Cameron Buckner really bring the listener into the adventure. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Yhe Wild Hunt is a wild story

D.A. Roberts does an awesome job bringing you into the story of a covert military team sent out to deal with pretty crazy threats. it's a fun and fast high octane ride all the way to the end.

the narrator, Cameron Buckner, has a fantastic voice for military based stories. some of the Norse pronunciations are a little bit off, but let's be honest we all get those wrong! looking forward to more from Cameron Buckner!

Who hired this narrator?

I may have been able to finish this book, if the narrator had not been so horrible. I just can't believe that someone gave this guy a job that required reading.
