Summary

Max, Leon and Matthew - together at last for Christmas at St Mary's, a time of conspicuous consumption, riotous misbehaviour and the traditional illegal Christmas jump. And this time it's intergenerational.

Donning her unfamiliar mother hat, Max takes Matthew back to 19th-century London, where they plan to deliver a parcel of Christmas cheer to his former friends but find themselves confronting the terrifying Old Ma Scrope in the process.

'Tis the season to be jolly. It's also the season of goodwill towards all mankind.

Pity no-one told Max.

A huge dose of Mushy

Fantastic listen to! I LOVE Jodis work anyway, but this short Christmas story was by far one of the niceset sweetest candy floss and candy cane flavoured with cherry sauce on the top stories ever! I thought at first it was going to be a re run of a christmas carol, but no, its much better than that. If you havent heard of Jodi Taylor yet you are missing out, and if you havent heard any of the short stories, then give this one a go, with a cup of tea, warm fire and cake, as its just perfect for a long winter evening.

Really enjoyed the story

Really enjoyed the story a bit like a twisted version of Charles Dickens a Christmas Carol

I happily recommend it 👍👍👍👍

Another winner

A lovely short story which continues the St Marys series. Zara Ramms narration, as ever, is delightful and brings the characters alive. Looking forward to the next instslment

She did it again!!!!!!

Another great Christmas treat from Jodi Taylor. Max and the disaster magnets of St Mary's barge into trouble yet again.

When's the next book due.

The only disappointment with reading this book is I have now read them all and have to wait for the next Jodi Taylor book.
