Great way to start moving without fear

My husband had major back surgery and is now getting ready for cervical surgery for spinal stenosis. His balance has been all over the place and he’s felt super weak, which made regular exercise feel impossible. This book has honestly been a lifesaver. The chair yoga poses are gentle but still build strength, and the breathing exercises help him calm down when the pain or anxiety flares up. The section on balance and core strength (chapter 5) has been especially helpful. For the first time in months, he’s starting to feel a little more in control of his body.

Great book for us senior citizens!

I had been looking for a book that could help me with exercises. I have broken both my femurs in the past 7 years, and I am unable to place my entire weight on my right leg (most recent break.)

So, I decided to see what was out there that would let me start to rebuild my balance and strength. Luckily, I found this one.

The illustrations were very easy to understand and helped me get started in the best way I could. I have been using the exercises for five days now and I can already notice my strength is coming back pretty quickly. We live near a beach, and I have not walked on sand for over 19 months. I am heading to the beach soon!

If you need a gentle path back to strength, health, and balance, this is the book for you.
