shockingly dreadful
I'm sorry but an English man reading an Irish and gaelic story who has obviously never bothered to research or learn the Gaelic pronunciation of any of the words, phrases or names is both shocking and insulting.
The "stories" are terribly told, it's like he is reading from 20 different short story books randomly found online and then spent a day reading baby names and taking quotes for the name meanings.
My advise is for everyone to avoid this offensive gobldy gook as it is everything but informative, a guide or anything to do with true Gaelic mythology.
I actually find the book this highly offensive from the first word spoken, this is an insult to my culture and heritage.

Shockingly poor pronunciation of Celtic names
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No way - as the stories and characters are “literally lost" due to mispronunciation!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Celtic Mythology is a major interest of mine but the narration of these time loved stories became unbearable. On several occasions I actually thought I was being introduced to a new hero/myth until eventually I was able to "translate" the narrators phonetic interpretation of Gallic, Gaelic / Celt names. The narrator’s mispronunciation wasn't even consistent it changed as he read. Very Poor and a significant opportunity lost, the publisher could have been imaginative and grounded the centre of the Celtic World by picking a narrator with an appropriate regional/Celtic Nation accent (whichever accent that might be).
Any additional comments?
So disappointing even though it made my kids laugh for all the wrong reasons.

Terrible, the reader cannot pronounce words
Awful, after 4 chapters I couldn't listen to any more . The reader cannot even pronounce place names in Europe let alone Gaelic ones words and names.
Give this very dull book a wide berth.

Worth to listen!!
Any additional comments?
Interesting retelling using more modern language/attitudes. I really like that it was simple, yet very thorough. I felt like I learned a lot and wanted to keep listening each time.

Loved & liked
Any additional comments?
Believed there would be more knowledge. Thought it is bigger and can help me learn more about the lost Celtic culture.

Informative and great book to listen
This was a fun listen and while not a deep dive into the Celtic myths, certainly a great primer and starting point upon which further listening and exploration can be built. I wasn't bored st the whole time, I enjoyed and easy-to-follow and flowing prose.
