About this listen
I met an alien. He is mindscorchingly hot. I actually think I am falling for him. There's only one problem. He is my alien slave master, and I am trying to escape.
Carissa
I’ve never known Earth. Or freedom. Both were taken from me when I was too young to remember. But I know exactly what the latest alien scumbags to buy me have in mind, the moment I hear the word “fertile".
Desperation’s the mother of invention, and one easily seduced guard later, I’m escaping to finally live on my own terms. To find my mom - my one connection to a planet I’ll probably never see. The only person who’s ever given a damn about me.
It’s all that keeps me going. The source of every last drop of energy I eke out of this miserable existence, when I have so many reasons to just give up and fade away.
Like my crap luck.
Reason infinity why I should just pop out the airlock of my stolen ship and say, “Sayonara, universe! PS: You suck.”
My first escape attempt that’s ever resulted in an actual escape, and I run smack into one of the most infamous dragon shapeshifters in the galaxy. But I haven’t come this far just to give up. I escaped once, I can do it again.
And no smug, self-impressed alien edgelord is going to stop me. Even if he is so mindscorchingly hot, it makes my brain bleed to think of choosing to deprive myself of the eye candy.
The universe had years to try and keep me down. You think one little dragon’s gonna do any better
Fine. One really big dragon. Whatever. Bring it.
Tarion
We dragons are a simple people with simple philosophies. Like, why ask for something you can simply take? The rest of the galaxy tends to be too busy fleeing from us in terror to answer that, so I assume they agree.
Until Carissa Maeberry.
The most baffling creature in existence, she doesn’t seem to get how this works. I have claws. Fire. A ruthless crew. She has an admittedly tragic backstory and a slave collar. The scales aren’t exactly balanced. And yet, to see her defiance, you’d think she held all the cards.
It’s absurd and breath-taking all at once. Which is why when others try and take my rarest of treasures from me, I must protest. Vigorously.
I did mention the claws and fire and ruthless crew, did I not?
Please note: This sci-fi romance has all the action and adventure you could ask for, both in battle and in bed. Please be 18 and up if you're planning to listen to how this beauty tames her savage beast...or, is it the other way around?

Really enjoyable Sci fi romance
I really enjoyed this book, the plot was good, the characters believable, and great world building. The story caught my interest in the first few pages and had me hooked to the end, I really want to follow this series.

Enjoyable romp through space!
I thoroughly enjoyed this romp through space. It made me smile and chuckle so many times. The characters are brilliant and so well written, I really connected with them. I love the fact that you get to see the story frrm both points of view so you can see what is going on in each of their heads, makes it just more enjoyable for me. The world building is great as there is enough to help the story along and show the lie of the land but not so much that it overwhelms. Lisa S Ware does a fabulous job bringing the story to life, she really adds something to the listen. So enjoyable. Oh and don't forget the steam!

Carissa & Tarion
Captured by the Alien Dragon is a delightful sci-fi alien romance. The characters are charming, likeable, and entertaining. The romance element is quite hot and very steamy.
The narration by Lisa S. Ware wasn't the best and took away from my enjoyment of the audiobook. She made the dialogue sound bland and monotone. That being said, the storyline captures your attention, if not for the narrator, I'd probably give this book a much higher rating. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Fabulous story!
I have listen to one of your audiobooks and I love it!
I found it to be well written. You have a fantastic imagination that let me get lost in an alien story. You have a way of telling a story that has me seeing what you wrote. I look forward to more of your audiobooks.
The narration was very good however it did take a little to get use to. (As you know most people have there favorite narrator’s) By the end of the story I have to say the narrator has been add to the list of favorites. I’m so glad I found both your books and a new narrator to listen to.

Needed a better narrator
This might have been a better story than it came across but was ruined by the narrator who sounded like a teenage girl. The emotion in her voice often didn't seem to match what was going on in the story; it was very distracting.
It wasn't a terrible story: a human slave to various aliens is caught by an alien dragon who eventually decides to take her as his 'brooder' and they fall for each other. Her previous owners come to reclaim her and a battle ensures for her freedom.
There were lots of plot elements thrown together but for me they ended up more as a mash of happenings than a plot. I had trouble connecting with either of the main characters but the hero especially I didn't warm to, which made the romance difficult to get on board with. By the end of the book, I can't say I was very invested in either of them or their relationship. I was tempted to give up on the book before the end.
In addition, a few of the story elements didn't make much sense to me. The fact that it's suddenly discovered by her slave owners that Carissa is compatible for breeding seems to come out of nowhere (why didn't they know this earlier). The hero, Tarion, seems to randomly decide she's not just a breeder but a beloved 'brooder' out of nowhere too. And suddenly this means it's not okay to treat her like a slave anymore.
Overall, Captured by the Alien Dragon was just missing something for me. Some sparkle and emotional draw. But it may have come to life more with a better narrator.
