Summary
Hawk has successfully avenged the murder of his family, but his quest is far from over. Now stalked by an evil sorceress, Lady NicNeev, after thwarting her plans of conquest, he and his partner, Mórag, must set out to slay the lady’s dragon to protect the ones they love.
Out of options, the pair journeys through the Highlands and isles of twelfth century Scotland seeking to unlock a power strong enough to defeat Lady NicNeev’s beast. But her dangerous mythological creatures stand poised and ready to strike along the way. Meanwhile, Lady NicNeev is not the only sorceress in the land, for another one rises to power. Confronted with the destruction of his home village, Hawk must decide whether to finally wield the magic that runs in his veins.
Will the Huntsman master his abilities or sacrifice it all for the ones he loves?
Written by renowned fantasy author Dr. Doug Chapman, Caledonia’s Dragon is the second installation of the Huntsman of Alba series.

Build’s on the series’ strengths
Caledonia’s Dragon is the sequel to the Huntsman of Alba and continues Hawk’s journey in a medieval Scotland where ancient myths are resurrected to stalk Alba’s loch and glen. The setting’s lore is satisfyingly deepened in this next instalment as we learn more of the frictions in this endangered world and of Hawk’s Native history and culture which is undoubtedly one of the greatest strengths in this novel.
This book continues the researched world building of its predecessor, this time in the wild and hallowed outreaches of the Hebrides
Again, the audiobook production quality is excellent and highly recommended
