Summary

Internationally bestselling author Robert Radcliffe’s World War II novel Beneath Another Sun tells the story of a young fighter pilot’s odyssey from England’s grass airfields to the jungles of Thailand. Based on true events, the journey covers fighter ops over Suffolk, Mediterranean convoys, the code breakers of Bletchley Park, and the surrender of Singapore, to climax with the living nightmare of the Burma-Thailand railway. An unsparing account of the brutality of war, Beneath Another Sun is also a powerful tale of courage, redemption and love.

Gripping story , dodgy accents in places!

The story was amazing, with the weaving of time and people and places. Atrocities of the Japanese on the Burma railway were not overdone but told simply and carefully.
It kept me listening even when the accent the narrator gave to one of the main characters father was like listening to an Australian rather than a Suffolk man! Please don't attempt "yokel" anymore!
