Exactly what you should know before starting
This book is different in many ways to other books aimed at guitar beginners. Starting your guitar journey can be very confusing and if you get off on the wrong foot it can lead to you getting frustrated very quickly.
Desi goes through everything you need to know right from the off covering guitar choice, practice structure, what to learn and how best to learn it. So many new guitarists lose their passion as everything can become overwhelming very quickly but not if you listen to this first.
It is short and to the point and a perfect listen for anyone just starting or thinking about picking up this amazing instrument.
Start smart and get this book. Desi is the best teacher out there full stop.

Useful For Beginners
The Beginner Guitar Primer by Desi Serna provides helpful information for new guitarists looking to start their guitar learning journey. There is plenty of useful information on purchasing gear if you don’t have any already. In my case, I already had a guitar and amp so didn’t find that chapter particularly relevant. The author does his best to describe the fretboard and tabs without visuals using audio only. Overall, I think this is a resource that beginners or those thinking of learning the guitar will find useful and helpful.
