Summary
Aesop's Fables are stories based on allegories and caricatures featuring mostly animals. These stories got the collective name Aesop’s Fables from the person who collected the stories. Aesop, popularly believed to have been a Phrygian slave, collected his fables sometime around the sixth century BC. Whatever his real story may be, the fables he collected feature valuable lessons.
This audiobook contains six famous fables by Aesop as given below:
- The Boy Who Cried Wolf
- The Ant and the Grasshopper
- The Fox and the Crow
- The Fox and the Grapes
- The Hare and the Tortoise
- The Honest Woodcutter
Additionally, you’ll get Little Red Riding Hood, the classic fairy tale. Isn’t that great?
Like classic fairy tales, fables are a great source of bedtime stories for kids. While classic fairy tales were written with small children in mind, fables were written to educate children of all ages.
Containing retelling of six of Aesop’s adopted fables, this audiobook will be the ideal gift for your kids.

These classic fairy tales are awesome.
There are few adverts about Nayomi’s other books in between each short story. Little annoying, but I get to know about her other books. All of them looks good. I’m going try them this weekend. Thanks Nayomi for writing awesome story books.

Good stories, ok performance spoiled by adverts
Good stories with sensible morals but the performance is stilted and there are very annoying adverts for other books inserted between the stories. hardly ideal for getting kids to sleep. Very disappointed.

Tales to live by.
Kids nowadays almost can’t be tamed. Good thing I saw this in audible while I was in search for a good story book. This is a smart and convenient way to teach them without reprimanding endlessly on difficult topics that the whole idea falls out for a child. I will definitely check out other Nayomi’s works!

the story tellers were really boring
repeated themselves many times and very frequently kept getting the story wrong. it sounded like it was poorly edited together

AI narration results in robotic delivery
The stories themselves are good. However I am 100% certain that they are narrated using some kind of advanced AI developed for this purpose. Possibly also written by AI. Part of a worrying trend because the delivery is robotic and unsettling. It's not very relaxing to listen to.
There are some fairly major continuity errors too as a result of sections being repeated e.g the golden axe being called a silver axe in the honest woodcutter as a result of the same audio clip being used as the woodcutters response.
I bought this for getting my 5 year old to sleep on a loud campsite. It worked for him. It kept me awake until he fell asleep and I was able to turn it off.

Brilliant audio book.
An awesome gift for my five-year old son. The classic fairy tales will surely instill important values and morals to him. And because I’m very satisfied with what I’ve heard, I’ll make a purchase of the ebook version, too.

the author nailed it!
It’s a collection of highly entertaining stories suitable for early readers. As expected, my kids love it! Each story is pretty short and we even finish it in one sitting. This is highly recommended!

Classic Fairy Tales for Children.
Ant and grasshopper is the one I played first for my girl. She’s lazy, and must learn her lesson form this.

Old Fairy Tales for modern day kids.
Kids are destroyed by TV and video games. Audiobooks are great way to boost their creativity.

All books in this collection are impressive.
This took me to my childhood days. Fables are little modified from the originals what I hear during my time. Anyway, all 6 of them are very good. Not only our kids, my parents enjoyed it.
