About this listen

The Choko Travers Outlaw Gang with bounties on their heads for bank robbery, murder and rape kidnapped Rosie McKenzie and hightailed it into the wilderness of the Appalachian Mountains. If she dares to escape, she will face the possibility of attack from wild critters: wolves, cougar, or bear, death by hypothermia, injury, illness, or starvation. But better death than what awaits her at the hands of the ruthless outlaw gang.

Half Cherokee Indian, Gabe Long Tree Sullivan, renowned tracker stands six feet eight in his sock feet. His cold, deadly composure and quick hand with a pistol made him a legend. A dead shot with a shotgun or rifle and just as lethal with a knife in hand-to-hand combat, whispers range the west on how he earned the moniker, Wild Man Sullivan. They have his woman. Hell is coming to breakfast.

Loved the narration from Lou Del Bianco

From the very start you are thrown into the old west. You can feel it never mind smell it. When Rosie is kidnapped by the Choko Travers Outlaw Gang, she knows the first thing she needs to do escape. One good thing on her side is her fiancé Gabe. A man of honour who can track and is know through the state as a deadly knife and quick with the gun.
The gang slowly get smaller and Rosie is a strong woman and Gabe is not going to stop until she is in his arms as he is wife. Between outlaws, wolves and death around the corner this book I will keep you on your toes. All the way through is the love of Rosie and Gabe. A gentle romance in the front and the Appalachian Mountains as the back ground.

Family, action, drama and romance.

Appalachian Bride Rosie by Susie Clifft Smith is a cracking good listen from start to finish. The story pulled me in right away with its great, well developed characters, A very strong story about survival under the most adverse conditions. Some of the things Rosie did to survive were amazing.
Lou Del Bianco's narration is excellent truly one of the highlights. The voices sound natural, never forced or overly performed. It's the kind of storytelling that makes you forget you're listening to a book.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a rich, character-driven tale with strong narration to match.

Superb Story.
