About this listen

Uninteresting and biased version of Mata Hari’s life

The author is more interested in pushing his own narrative than presenting an accurate portrait of Mata Hari. He’s depicting her as this independent and self sufficient feminist icon when in reality she was never interested in any of that. I think It’s an error to see historical figures through the prism of today’s social and political values. We should approach historical figures by trying to walk in their shoes, understanding the world they were living in.
