Summary

A beautiful piece of literature by a great saint of the church. St. John of the Cross was a man in search of Christ, a true follower of the ways of God. By only simple observation, it seems that his entire life was swallowed up in the glory and majesty of God, and we have the great privilege of peering into that relationship through his written works. This is a book describing the search of a lovesick soul for her wonderful bridegroom. A truly remarkable spring for anyone desiring a deeper life with God. great book, some issues with reading of it

great book, not easy but easier to listen to than read. great it is on Audible. reader reads well but reads too quick though, i advise slowing reading speed to 75% itneeds a slower read, reader also reads section numbers which i feel is unnecessary , reader also as strong American accent (not his fault!) but the smphasis on "Gaad" for "God" can be a bit jaring for the european ear
