Summary

Inside the minds of the world's most depraved serial killers.

Sunday Times best-selling author Christopher Berry-Dee is the man who talks to serial killers. A world-renowned investigative criminologist, he has gained the trust of murderers across the world, entered their high security prisons and discussed in detail their shocking crimes.

The killers' pursuit of horror and violence is described through the unique audiotape and videotape interviews which Berry-Dee conducted, deep inside the bowels of some of the world's toughest prisons.

Christopher Berry-Dee has collated these interviews into this astounding, disturbing book. Not only does he describe his meetings with some of the world's most evil men and women, he also reproduces, verbatim, their very words as they describe their crimes, allowing the listener a glimpse into the inner workings of the people who have committed the worst crime possible - to mercilessly take the life of another human being.

Good book and well narrated

enjoyed the book however found the random swearing a bit misplaced and didn't like how he mentioned Trump on a number of occasions whilst talking about serial killers.

Enjoyed this book

Hard to listen to, but enjoyed it immensely. Most cases I am familiar with but still learned a lot. Simon narrates perfectly.

the lost Alan Partridge serial killer book

what a very strange read this was, the information inside was really good, however the execution by the author was very Alan Partridge with a running commentary on his thoughts and feelings about BLM, Trump, hell and seemingly understanding that many of the people in his book had deeply rooted psychiatric issues but nevertheless hang them up anyway....
it all felt very Alan Partridge and his "needless to say...I had the last laugh"

one of the strangest books I've read in a long time

the narrator was really good though with the material he had

Great but...

loved listening to this, the narrator was great and overall the story was amazing, however the author does go off on a lot tangents and at times can be hard to keep track. also he plugs his own books A LOT, but then if you don't big yourself up he is.

Repulsed by the information in the book and worried about my fascination with such horror.
Entertaining read, well executed and disarmingly funny.

Criminal History or Personal Opinion?

The subject matter is very interesting, but on more than one occasion, the author brought political opinion into the narrative. On the subject of Peter Sutcliffe, there are better and more informative publications currently available. I wouldn't pay to listen to this book, but it's OK for nowt.

I Couldn’t Handle This

After reading a few excellent books profiling the world’s worst serial killers I had high hopes for this one. However, this book gives too much detail about the sadistic deeds done by these unspeakable monsters and I couldn’t deal with it. Listened for a few minutes before feeling physically and psychologically sick. Not for me. Also, not sure the extent of the brutality should be put out there in this way.
